I know it's cliche, but I have always loved photography. I've just loved to be able to capture a moment in time and be able to remember that for years to come. As a mother of three I have really come to understand the importance of photographs and having them as the kids grow at an astonishing rate. It's not just the kids that I want photos of though, it's life as it is now that I want to capture.

Because I want to capture you and your life, I do all of my photography on location. The session can be at your home, a park, the beach, an open field, the mountains, the city, or wherever is comfortable for you. There are so many beautiful places to choose from in the Puget Sound area! I don't use a lot of props or do a lot of exact posing. I prefer to have people interact normally while I sit back and capture what is going on. I will help set the scenes and will often chat with you, but you'll never hear me say cheese. I prefer that parents not encourage that from their children either.

I am a very relaxed person; I want you to be relaxed too. If we are doing a session with just the kids, I still like for the parent(s) to be dressed such that they wouldn't mind being in the photo. Sometimes young ones get nervous and want you there; sometimes we will do fun things like spin the child around; sometimes I'll capture a totally unplanned moment. You have been warned ;)
